TREE
Gnarled. Burnt. Cracked. Broken.
Craggy, Shaggy and Worn.
Bent. Scarred. Bare. Twisted.
Creaking, Beaten and Torn.
Alive through storms and winters,
Fires and droughts;
Patiently awaiting the passing of each new trouble.
There is always trouble:
Trouble behind and trouble ahead.
Trouble can be counted on.
So too the tree:
Never wandering, stands alone and strong;
Stately and noble;
More beautiful with each passing trial.
Great poem, Tim. Crazy good drawing.
